How to read the screens

Feelmo is an app for viewing Balance, a proprietary summary of available HRV-derived information and patterns in your own past records. The calculation details are not public, and Balance does not directly measure emotion or autonomic state. The bottom bar has four tabs (Home, Mood Log, Trends, Wellbeing). Guided breathing opens full-screen from Home and other entry points, while Settings opens from the gear icon. This page explains what each screen shows and how to read it without over-interpreting the numbers.

Start with just this

You don't need to remember everything. In the morning, open Home and meet today's companion. That alone is a perfectly good start. Once you've gotten used to it, feel free to peek into whichever tab catches your eye.

🏠 Home

This is the screen you open first thing in the morning. It brings together the records available from last night through this morning.

  • Balance gauge … Shows the proprietary Balance score (0–100) and an in-product reference informed by your own past trend. Detailed comparison and display rules are not public. High or low is an in-app label, not a medical normal/abnormal range.
  • The 6 companions … Genki, Odayaka, Futsuu, Fuan, Panku, and Tsukare are product interface characters. Their display rules are not public, and they do not detect your actual mood, fatigue, stress, or health (→ The 6 companions).
  • Vital signs card … Lines up the currently available wearable records for HRV, resting heart rate, and sleep. Consumer-device records can contain error or missing data and are not a diagnosis. (More detailed records such as wrist temperature, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen (SpO₂) live on the Well-being tab.)
  • Stress level … An in-app reference display with non-public processing rules. It does not directly measure the psychological stress you feel.
  • Greeting / Balance change … Shows available recent records and an in-product line of text. Detailed rules for the period and summary are not public. (A longer look-back appears on Trends and in Mood Log.)
  • Weather & pressure card … Turn on "Tomorrow's pressure forecast" in Settings (location permission required) and you can see today and tomorrow's air pressure, today's weather and temperature, and a several-day outlook — all for free. This is weather information, not a prediction of how you will feel. Only the day-before "pressure is about to drop" notification is Feelmo Premium.

Beyond this is Feelmo Premium (under the current Free plan, you can see today's Balance).

  • Next-morning outlook (Premium) … An in-product reference for thinking about the next morning. Detailed proprietary processing and display rules are not public, and it does not predict condition, symptoms, or activity safety.

Don't worry too much about the numbers

The score is not a grade or a medical judgment. It does not prove that you are stressed, tired, ill, or poorly recovered. Compare it with how you actually feel, and avoid making a major decision from this number alone.

For more, see Your balance level and Your own baseline.

♡ Mood Log

A screen where Balance and a product character display may be recorded for later review. Their relationship and display rules are not public. The interface may call the character a “mood,” but it is not a mood you entered or an emotion inferred by AI.

  • Today's record … The day's Balance and product character display may be recorded. Their display rules are not public; you can add a separate note about how you actually felt.
  • Calendar … See a month of face labels at a glance, in color.
  • Character overview … See which product character displays appeared during the selected period. This is not a distribution of measured emotions.
  • Weekly / monthly / yearly reviews … Switch the span to revisit the flow. Weekly, monthly, and yearly are all free.
  • Recent logs … Your most recent records, newest first.

You can review how Balance changed across the records shown. A product character is not independent physiological evidence, and its display rules are not public. Add an optional note when you want to compare the screen with how you actually felt.

Long-term trends are separate

The Mood Log's weekly, monthly, and yearly reviews are all free. Longer-term Balance and HRV charts on the Trends tab are a separate Feelmo Premium feature; tapping them opens the Premium guidance.

🌈 Breathing

Breathing is not a bottom tab; it opens as a full-screen guided session from Home and other entry points. Slow paced breathing can temporarily change breathing rate and some HRV measures, but it does not guarantee a particular autonomic or emotional effect.

  • Calm down / lift up … In-app categories for choosing a session. Experiences differ between people; the labels do not guarantee sedation or alertness.
  • Breathing pacer … Following the circle on screen, you bring your inhale and exhale into rhythm, at your own pace.

It's fine if it doesn't go perfectly. Rather than counting or correctness, treasure the sense of "ah, I loosened up a little just now."

Associations in your own records

Habit association patterns (Premium) summarize observational relationships between breathing records and Balance. Proprietary processing details are not public, and the display does not prove effects or causality.

For more, see Breathing sessions. You can also try it for just 30 seconds on the web: feelmo.jp/#breathe

A screen for tracing how proprietary Balance and HRV records shift over time, from a week to a year. It is meant for viewing a trend rather than diagnosing yourself from one point.

  • Balance over time … Follow, as a line, how your balance level has moved over days to months.
  • Proprietary trends and HRV … Review an in-product trend display beside HRV records. Processing and display rules are not public, and it is not a direct measure or medical test of autonomic function or recovery.
  • Switching the span … Switch the view by week, month, and year.
  • A Feelmo Premium feature … The entire Trends tab is part of Feelmo Premium. Without Premium, you don't see your own real trends here — only labeled sample previews that show what the screen looks like. Your real week, month, and year trends all open with Feelmo Premium.

The practical approach is to compare the broad trend with your own usual range, without treating daily movement as a diagnosis.

🌙 Wellbeing

A screen for reviewing supported sleep, sunlight, activity, and other records. It brings your vital signs and small daily habits together into a single timeline.

  • Today's mini-cards … Sun exposure, steps, and respiratory rate line up as that day's mini-cards, and each opens its detailed screen with a tap. Sleep sits on its own card, and a vital-signs panel (sleep, resting heart rate, wrist temperature, respiratory rate, and blood oxygen) rounds it out.
  • Proprietary in-app trend … Helps you review available records. Processing and display rules are not public, and it does not directly measure autonomic state or recovery.
  • Water (water & caffeine) … A record of the water and caffeine you took that day.
  • How your habits are holding up … The flow of the habits you've kept, viewable back across past days (today and yesterday are free; further back is Feelmo Premium).
  • Sleep details … See last night's sleep in detail. Weekly and monthly are free; the yearly (12-month) view is Feelmo Premium (→ How to read your sleep).
  • Sun exposure details … See how much light you've taken in. Today and this week are free; going back to days before yesterday is Feelmo Premium (there are no monthly or yearly summary views).
  • A way back to past days … A doorway to look back over days gone by.

Habits differ from person to person. Feelmo summarizes observational relationships between habits you logged and Balance. Proprietary processing details are not public, and the display does not prove effects or causality.

For more, see Wellbeing and habits.

⚙️ Settings

A screen that brings together notifications, permissions, appearance, privacy, Premium, and more. It isn't a tab — you open it from the gear icon in the top right of each screen.

  • Notifications … Turn reminders and notifications on and off (→ Notifications and reminders).
  • Health integration … Manage access to HealthKit (→ Apple Watch and HealthKit). Feelmo reads permitted records on your device. Seated or sleeping conditions may reduce large movement, but they do not guarantee complete or error-free measurements.
  • Appearance … Settings for widgets, language, and the like.
  • Privacy & data … Set App Lock, Privacy Mode, and data deletion. Feelmo processes HRV-derived data and scores on device and does not automatically send them to Provider servers. User-initiated sharing and Apple syncing are handled separately (→ Data and privacy).
  • Feelmo Premium … Check your subscription status, and manage or change your plan.

How Balance works

For reference, the Balance score on Home is a 0–100 wellness display that summarizes available HRV-derived information and patterns in your own past records. Feelmo does not publish its processing, comparison, or display rules. Balance does not directly measure autonomic function, emotion, fatigue, or recovery, and its range is not a medical normal/abnormal scale. Read it only as one reference alongside how you feel, any symptoms, and your past records.

An important note

Feelmo is not a medical device. It isn't intended to diagnose or treat any illness, and the scores and signs it displays do not establish your health status. If you have symptoms that concern you, please consult a medical professional.

If you're unsure

The screens are designed to be minimal. To start, just open Home and begin by meeting today's companion.
