Notifications and Reminders
Feelmo's notifications are optional reminders that a new Balance display or look-back may be available. Balance is proprietary reference information, not a medical or emotional judgment.
What Feelmo assumes
Feelmo does not infer mood or directly measure autonomic state, fatigue, stress, recovery, or health. A notification should not be used by itself to decide whether to push, rest, or seek care.
Types of notification
The notifications Feelmo sends fall, broadly, into the following kinds. Every one of them is just a small cue saying "you're welcome to drop by" — never homework you have to finish.
- Today's Balance update … Tells you that a new proprietary Balance display may be available. Home shows the product display with available wearable records; detailed display rules are not public
- Look-back reminder … A cue to review Balance and a product character display, and optionally record how you actually felt. The display rule is not public, and the character is not an inferred mood
- A gentle heads-up … May point out a product-specific pattern in available records. It does not detect recovery, worsening health, or a need for action
- Weekly look-back … Once a week, summarizes the product character displays. It is not a summary of measured emotions
- Bedtime reminder … An optional cue near the time you selected. It does not guarantee better sleep or a different Balance display
- A word about habits … May remind you about a habit you chose to track. An association in your records does not prove that the habit is effective or suitable for you
You can turn each type of notification on or off from "Settings." You don't need to enable them all. Keep only the ones that fit naturally into your life, and feel free to quietly close the rest.
When they arrive, and why
Notification timing can vary with iOS delivery, HealthKit record availability, and user settings. Detailed proprietary processing and notification conditions for “Today's Balance” are not public. You can adjust supported look-back, bedtime, and habit reminders in Settings.
How the balance score is made, and how to read it
“Today's Balance” is a 0–100 product display summarizing available HRV-derived information and patterns in your own past records with proprietary processing. The processing details are not public.
Compare it, if useful, with your own past rather than other people. Processing and character-display rules are not public. The score and faces are product displays, not medical normal/abnormal results or measures of mood, fatigue, stress, or recovery. For more, see Balance.
Using a notification a little more deeply
A notification is a doorway to noticing. After one arrives, here's how you might drop by:
- Open today's balance update → on "Home," check the balance gauge and your vital signs (HRV, resting heart rate, sleep)
- Compare the display with how you actually feel and any symptoms; do not make a major decision from it alone
- If useful, leave a note in your Mood Log or choose a comfortable breathing session
Keep notifications minimal
Feelmo doesn't believe in using notifications to rush you into action. If you feel there are too many, don't hesitate to turn them off. Settling in always happens at your own pace. Silence, too, is one right answer.
When notifications don't arrive
When notifications don't come through, the cause is usually something on the iOS side. Don't worry — just check, one step at a time.
Settings → Notifications → Feelmo
Here, please check that:
- Notifications are set to "Allow"
- Display is on for the Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners
- They aren't paused by a Focus mode (Do Not Disturb)
If a Focus mode is active during your bedtime hours, the morning "Today's balance" notification may arrive late, all at once, after the mode is turned off.
If “Today's Balance” does not arrive, also check Apple Watch connectivity, HealthKit records and permissions, and Feelmo synchronization. Detailed notification and display rules are not public, and a missing notification cannot establish your condition. See Linking with Apple Watch for more.
If notifications still don't arrive, please feel free to reach out to Support.
An important note
Feelmo is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat anything. Notifications and wearable readings do not establish your health, emotion, autonomic state, fatigue, or recovery. If you have concerning symptoms, consult a qualified healthcare professional regardless of the notification.
