When Balance Does Not Appear
A missing Balance display or a screen that still says “waiting for data” does not by itself mean that the app is broken or that something is wrong with your health. Possible explanations include Apple Watch fit, HealthKit records or permissions, synchronization, and in-product display conditions.
Feelmo uses proprietary on-device processing to summarize HRV-derived information available through Apple Watch / HealthKit and patterns in your own past. Detailed proprietary processing and display rules are not public.
Four checks to try first
1. Were you wearing Apple Watch?
- If you use it overnight, charge it before bed.
- Follow Apple’s guidance for a fit that is neither too tight nor too loose.
- Keep the sensor back and your wrist clean and dry.
The optical wrist sensor is affected by movement, fit, and skin contact. Wearing the Watch at night does not guarantee that a record or Balance display will be available.
2. Are Health permissions enabled?
iPhone Settings or Health → Apps and Services → Feelmo
Review the read permissions that Feelmo requests in the app. After changing a permission, reopen Feelmo. See Apple Watch and HealthKit for setup details.
Even with permission enabled, a display may be unavailable when HealthKit has no corresponding record. Conversely, a missing display does not indicate illness or autonomic dysfunction.
3. Are iPhone and Apple Watch synchronized?
- Confirm that Apple Watch is connected to the iPhone.
- Check whether recent records appear in the Health app.
- Reopen Feelmo and allow a short time for synchronization.
- Install available updates for iOS, watchOS, and Feelmo.
If reopening the app does not help, restarting the iPhone and Apple Watch may resolve a temporary synchronization problem.
4. Did you check the date and records from other apps?
If another sleep app creates records, its format and synchronization time may differ. In the Health app, check whether a record exists on the expected date. See HealthKit data used by Feelmo for the supported scope.
What if a display appears but looks unusual?
HRV changes with breathing, posture, sleep, exercise, alcohol, medication, health, time of day, fit, and measurement error. A higher or lower display rarely has one certain explanation.
- Do not infer health from one day.
- Give priority to how you feel and any symptoms.
- Where practical, compare several records collected under similar conditions.
- Do not use an app score to interpret an irregular-rhythm notification or symptoms on your own.
What do “Learning” and a blank screen mean?
“Learning” and blank states are in-product statuses. They are not determinations of health, autonomic function, or emotion. Detailed update and display rules are not public, and a status change does not establish medical accuracy. See Your baseline for context.
If the problem continues
If the display remains unavailable after checking settings and HealthKit records, contact Support. Device model, iOS, watchOS, and Feelmo versions, the date of the problem, and the visible screen state can help with troubleshooting. Do not send health data itself unless support specifically needs it and you choose to do so.
Privacy
Feelmo processes HRV-derived data and Balance on device and does not automatically send them to Provider servers. If you start an export or share, selected content goes to your chosen destination. Apple storage and syncing follow your settings. See Data and privacy.
Keep symptoms separate from the screen
Feelmo is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat conditions. For symptoms that may be urgent—such as chest pain, severe breathlessness, or fainting—or for persistent concerns, seek local emergency help or qualified medical care without waiting for an app display.
